ISG has over the last eight years become a leader in the application of IT Governance to assist our clients in implementing greater control and security over their IT and Business operations. ISG has consistently been first to apply the ISO Security Standards to make it possible for our clients to achieve certification. In 2002 ISG assisted NSW Ombudsman to become the first Government Department in Australia to obtain certification to AS7799. In another first ISG facilitated the certification of the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to ISO27001 in 2005, the first organisation to do so.

ISG has now developed a new IT Governance certification model utilising control implementation techniques drawn from CobiT and ITIL. Designed as an IT Governance platform, the model is process-centric rather than technical or controls focussed, and utilises a series of Service Level Agreements to establish and monitor compliance with control baselines. The new model has been designed as a robust platform to support the operation of clients' IT Service Management and Program Management Office processes. IT
process automation processes and toolsets embedded within the Information Security Management System form the basis for the establishment of sound process for controlling the wider IT Service Management (ITSM) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) using frameworks such as ITIL, PMBOK, and CobiT.

A certifiable IT Governance platform now permits ISG to support organisations implement sound process based solutions for managing their projects and IT operations. The use of automation drives increased productivity, maximizing staff efficiency.
